this is probably one of my best works ever. the entire picture, save for the background, was done with stippling and line shading.

Edit: I just realized I never mentioned this, which makes me feel bad about it, but this piece was based on another fan art of Voldo that was in the art museum in Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast. I just used inking and stippling instead of colors like the original artist.

Sakura Pigma Micron 01 0.25mm width for most of the smaller lines. i also used Itoya Finepoint System pens in .2 .4 and .6 for stippling and lines. the Sakura is my fav; they're really good pens.

Yeah, I primarily use the Microns for my inking. Anything special about those Itoyas? Should I look into them?

they're the only thing i used before the Sakura brand ones. they're good and they don't bleed easily. all the other inked stuff in my gallery (which i don't have the majority of up yet) was done with the water based ink ones. this url will show you both water and permanent ink versions of the pens: [link]
